The Bob Graham Round

This Lake District classic is a fell running challenge. Bob Graham, a Keswick resident, first ran the 42 fells within 24 hours in 1932. Covering 74 miles and over 27,000ft of ascent, it’s a gruelling race that few complete.

The Dragon Back Race

This legendary race is a 315km run along the length of Wales’ mountains, from north to south. Taking 5 days, with over 15,500ft of ascent over rough, wild terrain, it’s recognised as one of the toughest mountain races.

The GR20 - the ‘great trek’

The GR20 is regarded as one of the finest, yet toughest, long distance trails in Europe. 180km from the north to south of Corsica, it takes around 2 weeks and covers some very rugged, mountainous terrain.

The Pacific Crest Trail

Running 2653 miles from Mexico to Canada, this is an incredible hiking route through California, Oregon and Washington. It takes around 5 months to walk it, but anything less than 100 days means trekking 30 miles a day. The elite take two months.

The Overland Track

This 6 day hike through the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park in Tasmania takes an average of 6 days. Over 65km long, the trail runs through a remote and vast area. Extremes of weather - even blizzards in summer - make this walk much more challenging.
